Hi Brooke, I like how you say “choose”, and by doing that we allow ourselves some space to think about our responses to situations, since sometimes we can go either way (Type1 vs Type2).
I was just thinking — do you believe we might behave as Type1 to some people, and Type2 to others? I have noticed that in myself sometimes, and when that Type2 comes out, I always question myself — why did I react that way? Could it be the energy of one group versus the other? Childhood memories and upbringing most definitely… in the end you are correct — we do have the power within us to make a choice.
